Homossasa Springs
February 12-17, 2027
Citrus County and the Crystal River have become synonymous with manatees, and we will explore their winter homes, along with other natural environments in the nutrient-rich intercoastal waterways and Homosassa Springs.
In addition to snorkeling with manatees in Crystal River on two separate occasions, you'll also snorkel in Devil’s Den and drift down the Rainbow River, experiencing Florida’s unique geology and world-famous spring systems firsthand.
The trip also includes visits to Three Sisters Springs, Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, and Crystal River Archaeological State Park.
Accommodations are at Plantation on Crystal River, where guests can enjoy a full-service resort featuring comfortable rooms, excellent dining, a lagoon-style pool, and a hot tub.
Toward the end of the trip, the group will return to Orlando for a day at Discovery Cove. Here, you'll have the opportunity to interact with dolphins and snorkel through a variety of marine habitats. This all-inclusive experience includes snorkeling equipment, meals, and refreshments throughout the day.
The following day, guests are welcome to spend additional time exploring SeaWorld Orlando before departing. Airport transfers will be arranged as needed.

Florida Keys/Everglades
March 27-April 1, 2027
The Florida Keys and the Everglades are among the most important and interconnected ecosystems in North America.
The Everglades’ slow-moving “River of Grass” filters and carries freshwater to the southern coast, supporting wetlands, mangroves, and estuaries that provide habitat for endangered wildlife such as manatees, crocodiles, and countless bird species. These wetlands also play a vital role in protecting South Florida by storing freshwater, improving water quality, and reducing flooding.
The Florida Keys extend this ecosystem into the ocean, where coral reefs, seagrass beds, and mangrove forests support an extraordinary diversity of marine life. The coral reef tract surrounding the Keys is the third-largest barrier reef system in the world and provides habitat for thousands of species. Mangroves and seagrass beds help stabilize shorelines, reduce storm impacts, capture carbon, and serve as essential breeding grounds for marine life.
Together, the Everglades and the Florida Keys demonstrate the strong connection between healthy land and ocean environments.
Through hands-on activities, visits to research facilities, and meetings with scientists, participants will gain firsthand insight into how closely linked these ecosystems are. Along the way, they will learn why protecting water quality, preserving habitat diversity, and strengthening coastal resilience are essential for both wildlife and the communities that depend on these environments.
